Crash Course 1: Math Modeling (tuition: $199)
At The Curio Cat, we build AIs that can simulate the physical world. Past simulations have included volcanic eruptions, ocean waves, sonar, and more. The first step to building an AI simulation is to create a math model. To that end, The Curio Cat is offering a 6-hour virtual crash course into math modeling!
You will learn the following (subject to change based on class needs):
- Understand Ordinary Differential Equations (ODEs) in plain language
- Understand Partial Differential Equations (PDEs) in plain language
- Solve ODEs and PDEs using simple arithmetic. No calculus required!
- Apply boundary conditions.
- Solve PDEs in 2D and then 3D
- Model heat, fluid, phase fields, waves, and stress.
You will receive the following:
- 6 hours of live Zoom lectures
- All Python codes shown in class
- A review of your research project idea
Date: Saturday, June 15, 2024, 10 AM PST – 4 PM PST.
Crash Course 2: Introduction to Physics Informed Machine Learning (tuition: $199)
Do you understand how to solve math models? Great! But how do you teach an AI to do the same thing? In this course, we will show you how to teach an AI to understand ODEs and PDEs.
You will learn the following (subject to change based on class needs):
- Mathematics of neural networks
- Generate machine learning datasets from ODEs and PDEs
- Data preprocessing
- Neural network architecture
- Neural network training methodology
- Postprocessing
- Validation
You will receive the following:
- 6 hours of live Zoom lectures
- All Python codes shown in class
- A review of your research project idea
Date: Sunday, June 16, 2024, 10 AM PST – 4 PM PST.
