AI research program

Are you curious about A.I. research but not sure how to get started? Are you a novice coder (or non-coder) looking to improve your skills? Do you want to learn A.I. at an easy pace? If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, then our beginner AI Research program may be right for you!

WHO:

Our beginner-level AI Research program is being offered to students who want to ease their way into A.I. research. The recommended prerequisite is algebra and geometry. Along with A.I., students will be shown introductory concepts in math, data science, coding, and machine learning.

WHAT:

In this 6-week course, students will learn the basic concepts of A.I. research. This includes learning the mathematics of neural networks and other machine learning approaches. This also includes writing simple Python codes for pre-processing data, building neural networks, training neural networks, validating neural networks, and post-processing results. The datasets will include tabular data, time-series data, and image datasets.

WHEN:

June 15, 2025 – July 20, 2025, inclusive.

Lectures will take place every Sunday 10 AM-12:30 PM PST.

WHERE:

All lectures will take place over Zoom.

WHY:

Corporations and researchers are increasingly relying on A.I. to make major technological breakthroughs. According to the University of Oxford, the demand for AI professionals is far outstripping supply. Indeed, “the high demand for their skills leads to candidates with next to no experience being hired for senior roles. More than half of Tech-AI professionals have less than six years’ experience, compared to an average of 10 years for all IT jobs. In some states, there are more than 10 job ads per AI professional.” With A.I. technology taking off like a rocket ship, there is no better time to get started than now!

HOW:

Your instructor Derek will use only Google Colab and Microsoft Excel! No other material is necessary!

COURSE DELIVERABLES:

This is a beginner course in A.I. Research. The course deliverables are the following:

  • 15 hours of classroom lectures

No other deliverable is expressed or implied.

TUITION:

$495/student
