The Curio Cat is proud to introduce our brand new STEM Short Course! This will be an intense one-weekend, 6-hour crash course into AI-based computer simulations.
WHO: This crash course is intended for students with a strong foundation in calculus, science, and Python programming. In order to excel within the confines of the Short Course, students should be independent, self-driven, and creative.
WHAT: This is a shortened version of our 6-week STEM Summer Program. Students will learn the mathematical underpinnings of AI-based computer simulations. Due to time limitations, project demonstrations will be limited to 2D simulations.
WHEN: Students can choose Session C or Session D. Students also receive a 1-hour research project consultation and access to any Curio Cat workshops taking place during the 2023-2024 school year.
- Session C: August 5-6, 2023 (lectures on both Sat. and Sun. from 10 AM – 1 PM PST)
- Session D: August 5-6, 2023 (lectures on both Sat. and Sun. from 2 PM – 5 PM PST)
WHERE: All deliverables will take place over Zoom.
WHY: At The Curio Cat, we believe in the power of AI to do good. That’s why we love teaching AI to young, up-and-coming researchers. However, we know that not everyone can afford our 6-week STEM Summer Program. Therefore, we developed this one-weekend short course to give students high-quality education at a reduced cost.
HOW: Our research guru Derek will deliver all short course lectures via Zoom. Derek will demonstrate AI-based simulations using Google Colab and Microsoft Excel.
COURSE DELIVERABLE: The Curio Cat is a school. We provide expert-level training in artificial intelligence and applied mathematics. As such, the only promised deliverables are the following: (1) lectures as indicated; (2) 1-hour research project consultation; (3) access to any workshops taking place during the 2023-2024 school year. No other deliverable is expressed or implied.
TUITION: $395 per student
CLASS SIZE: Each session will be limited to 8 students.
