This is the most prestigious scholarship offered by UC Berkeley to entering undergraduate students. Candidates are chosen for their “creativity, leadership, service, and strong convictions”. In sum, candidates embody UC Berkeley’s highest principle: the commitment to excellence. Scholars with financial need are awarded a scholarship up to their full need. Scholars without financial need receive $2,500 per year. Additionally, scholars can apply for up to $1,000 in research funding. Congratulations and good luck in your interview!
